The City is working to finalize the budget for the Granicus system that includes equipment, software package, and installation to record council meetings and provide closed captioning. The system would also integrate councilmembers’ votes and segment video to the agenda. And yes, this would include an upgrade to the audio system, which should be welcomed from those of you who have listened online. “Project Total, All Years” reduced from $40,950 to $38,345; which includes an increase in 2020 from $25,950 to $30,845 and reduction in 2025 from $15,000 to $7,500, accounting for the overall reduction.

Early in life when teachers would ask "what do you want to do when you grow up?" James Edwards would answer, "I want to be on SportsCenter". As time went on he ended up going down another path, choosing his love of mathematics to become an engineer. James attended Eastern Washington University where he played 4 years of club baseball. He has worked as an engineer and project manager and earned an MBA from Gonzaga University. Sports and writing have remained a passion of his as he has hosted a blog dedicated to local sports teams and fantasy baseball. James is a local resident of Liberty Lake with his wife, Brittney, and daughter, Blaire. They are expecting another child in early 2020. James is also a certified FAA Part 107 drone pilot and enjoys flying his drone to capture photos from an aerial perspective.
