A message from CENTRAL VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT 356

    CVSD Families:

We received word of a serious potential incident in an area school outside of out district. As a precaution we are putting all of our schools on modified lockdown limiting all access to our building.  Students will remain in the school and all outside activities will be cancelled until further notice.

Students will only be released with strict ID procedures to parents or legal guardians from the school office.
We will update you as we have more information. Student safety is our top priority.
    –CVSD Administration

    UPDATE 10:49am:
Spokane news sites reporting gunshots at Freeman High School

    UPDATE 11:50am:
We’ve received information from official law authorities that there is not an imminent threat to any of our schools at this time. As a precaution, all of our schools will remain on modified lockdown with limited access to our buildings until further notice, perhaps through the end of the day. At this point we are expecting a normal dismissal and normal after school acitivities.

We will update you as we have more information. Student safety is our top priority.
