Western redcedars in the old-growth grove on the Liberty Lake Loop Trail

Living in Liberty Lake

Small city. Big backyard.

A river to the north, a lake and forest to the south, and a town in between that still feels like a place where people know each other.

Outdoors

The lake, the loop and the river

Liberty Lake Regional Park covers roughly 3,500 acres of wetland, shoreline and mountain forest at the lake's south end. Its 8-mile Liberty Lake Loop Trail climbs past Liberty Creek's waterfall and through an old-growth western redcedar grove.

On the north side of town, the Spokane River Centennial Trail follows the river west through the valley to Spokane and east toward Idaho, paved for bikes, runners and strollers.

And then there's golf: MeadowWood, Liberty Lake and Trailhead courses are all inside or right next to town. Compare the three courses.

Liberty Lake has its own municipal library, a weekly community paper, and a mix of local restaurants, coffee shops and everyday shopping along the main corridors.
